Going out on a small lake or venturing to sail beyond the sight of land takes a good deal of responsibly planning for self-sufficiency. We will discuss having what you should pack (and leaving behind what’s too much) when you step aboard for a buoy race to crew.
And if you’re the skipper (who is responsible for the crew) how your sea bag expands. We’ll examine choices for venturing further and further from shore.
By request, we will also review the basics of sail trim for the points of sail. And most likely reconvene at a nearby pub to socialize.
Everyone is welcome. If you have a sea bag packed. Bring for show and tell.
